About Us

Albert Street Chiropractic Clinic (A.S.C.C.) has been a family-run practice located at 2155 Albert Street since 1974. A.S.C.C. and its practitioners offer an evidence-based approach to diverse musculoskeletal injuries occurring in sports and daily life. We work closely with specialists, medical doctors, physiotherapists and massage therapists to deliver the most accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan for our patients.

Dr. Denise Lees


Dr. Denise Lees attended the University of Saskatchewan for her undergraduate classes. She is a 1991 graduate of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She has a family-based practise mainly in diversified technique.

She has been heavily involved in sports throughout her life, both as a player and then as a parent, which included coaching and managing teams. She served on the Q.C. soccer board for approximately eight years. She has worked with athletes mainly from soccer and basketball, where her two daughters have played at the university level.

Dr. Lees prefers anything outdoors- cottage life, hiking, biking, walking and also yoga and reading.

Dr. Joseph P. Matz

B.Sc., D.C.

Dr. Joseph Matz received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1998. He also holds a degree in Human Biology which he majored in nutrition. Dr. Matz utilizes several chiropractic techniques including Diversified, Activator and Drop Piece. He also prescribes custom made orthotics and provides nutritional counselling. Dr. Matz has volunteered for several different groups including high school football, track and field events, wrestling and judo tournaments and classroom speaking. Dr. Matz lives in Regina with his wife Kyla and their children Hannah and Emmett.

Dr. Matthew J. Zylak

B.Sc., D.C.

Dr. Matthew Zylak is a 2013 graduate of Northwestern Health Sciences University. He attended undergraduate programs at the University of Western Ontario (London, ON) and the University of Regina before completing his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees in Minnesota.

Dr. Zylak’s approach to patient care focuses on creating proper motion of the spinal segments, pelvis, and extremities, his continuing education seminars and chiropractic research interests include: headaches, acute and chronic low back pain, orthopedics, sciatica and functional medicine.

He has been involved in a number of organizations that focus specifically on men’s health and education including the MOvember Foundation for awareness and education of prostate and testicular cancers and mental health, LIVEStrong, and the Prostate Cancer Foundation. He is also an active member of the Canadian Progress Club and chairman of the Gala of Hope Fundraiser.



Ellen grew up in southern Saskatchewan where she developed a love of sports and healthy living.  Her interest in massage therapy began after receiving treatment for TMJ (jaw) related migraines.  After finding much relief from massage, chiropractic and orthodontic treatments she decided to enroll at the Western College of Remedial massage where she graduated in 2004.

Ellen has advanced training in Myofascial Cupping, Myofascial Release, TMJ dysfunction, and Whiplash Associated Disorder.  With many years of working in multidisciplinary clinics she has a well rounded understanding of injury rehab.  Ellen is registered with MTAS and is qualified to treat a variety of people including RCMP, DVA, SGI and WCB clients.

She lives in Regina with her husband Kelly and their dog Sandy.
